ABOUT
The Ashtonz use music and the fun we have during our performances to help build community in the venues in which we perform. We do this with a deep play list and occasional special guests. The Ashtonz is a band that can flex depending on the occasion, the venue and crowd. The music primarily focuses on 60's, 70's, and 80's rock and pop: The Who, Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Stones, and of course, The Beatles. The band doesn't like to take itself too seriously so we've have fun during our gigs (on occasion even inviting the mayor of the town of Monument to join us on the drums for a couple numbers...). But it was during the COVID shutdown that The Ashtonz turned to Friday evening live streaming on YouTube in an effort to keep the music going, and even afterward as everyone was re-emerging and re-discovering 'community' in person. With that the band was honored with Colorado Springs Gazette - Best of the Springs 2021 "Best Local Band - Bronze" award, thanks to our fans, production crew, and all who tuned in during those challenging months.
